Hydrating and cleansing water

Water is hydrating, but there is a way to get water into your cells faster. Electrolytes I’m sure you have heard of. They are all the buzz in the sports community, but our body actually needs a certain amount of electrolytes every day to maintain a healthy body. Electrolytes are electrically charged particles that help to get water into the cell efficiently. That is why when you drink an electrolyte, you will become hydrated faster than if you just drank water. Now you know why they are so popular with athletes. The problem with all the commercials that sell to athletes are that their electrolytes are awful for you. Most electrolytes in the store have way too much sugar, food dyes and other preservatives that actually work against the body. This is why I tell my clients to STAY CLEAR of all your “aid” ending drinks. You know which ones I’m talking about. Instead, let me share with you a cheap and very effective natural electrolyte. *

Himalayan Salt is the pink salt that you see in the store. It is a natural electrolyte. It is rich in so many electrolytes and other nutrients that it creates more of a balance. It is much safer for blood pressure, due to the fact that it is not processed like table salt is and contains less sodium. Most of the blood pressure issues that result from high salt intake is because there is an issue with the table salt and an imbalance in the body. Sometimes high blood pressure is a result of dehydration. I have personally helped stabilize some clients’ blood pressure when I saw that they were dehydrated with himalayan salt water. Please let me be clear that is very personalized when it comes to repair. One thing does not fit all.*

We need to stop speaking against salt, and just start educating on the TYPE of salt used and how much. So many Americans have stayed away from salt entirely and have become septic in sickness or have had cardiac arrest due to the lack of sodium because doctors have advised to stay away from salt. Salt is necessary for the body. It is cleaning and nourishing. It just needs to be PURE, salt. While I do agree that everything should be in moderation, if you stay clear of it all together and are not eating a whole, pure foods diet, then you will end up with imbalances. Himalayan salt has also been shown to balance out pH levels in the body and targets oxidative stress.*

This leads me to an easy, cheap cleansing and hydrating drink that you can do post work out or in the afternoon as a pick-me-up. *

Lemon, himalayan salt, and water is a fantastic electrolyte drink that hydrates and cleanses the colon. Another big issue in our nation is the lack of colon health, due to our horrible diets. Lemon is cleansing and rich in vitamin c. You can also do a lime in its place. *
